Coming from the Atlas Peak AVA which sits high in elevation in the south Napa Valley region, the volcanic soil imparts a fresh earthy flavor to the wine with a lightly fragrant floral nose. Softened tannins and full bodied, this wine is high on my list. Blackberries, dark plum and light oak round out this drinkable wine. At $30 its priced about right for a Napa valley wine but would be even better in the $20 range. The price for this wine is all over the map when checking other sites from $48-$82, thats why I love Costco so much! I guess you pay for the real estate that the grapes are grown in. Would recommend decanting this wine half an hr or more before drinking.
