The dark claret wine gave to notes of cherry, plum and light oak notes.
The 2019 vintage has big shoes to fill since its 2015 older brethren made it to
Wine Spectators Top 100 list and it does a good job filling those shoes.
First tasting notes is bold but tempered tannins that opens up to black licorice, dark plum and vanilla notes. Slightly acidic in a pleasant way with full body flavors that invites you to keep chugging along.
While some wide body, full-flavored wines leaves you satiated after one glass, this one is the best of both worlds and drinks like a medium bodied wine where you want glass after glass. This wine is sourced from 30+ year old vines and aged in french oak that
gives it a character of much more expensive wines.
